Dr. M. Chadi Alraies, MD, MPH

Dr. M. Chadi Alraies, MD, MPH, is a board-certified interventional cardiologist serving the Detroit community through the Detroit Medical Center Heart Hospital. He earned his medical degree from the University of Aleppo Faculty of Medicine in Syria before completing his internal medicine residency at Case Western Reserve University / St. Vincent Charity Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.

Following residency, Dr. Alraies spent five years as a staff physician at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic, where he also served as Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. During this time, he published extensively in peer-reviewed journals on pericardial disease and established himself as a clinician-researcher.

He then completed his cardiovascular medicine fellowship at the University of Minnesota, where he concurrently earned a Master of Public Health (MPH). Dr. Alraies subsequently finished his interventional cardiology fellowship at Wayne State University / Detroit Medical Center and remained in Detroit to lead interventional cardiology research. His clinical and research interests focus on coronary artery disease outcomes, complex coronary interventions, mechanical circulatory support, endovascular interventions, and medical education.
