A Monument to Detroit's Resilience & Innovation
For decades, the vacant block at Woodward Avenue and Grand River was a symbol of what Detroit had lost when the iconic 25-story J.L. Hudson Department Store was imploded in 1998. Today, Bedrock's Hudson's Detroit stands as a 49-story architectural beacon signaling the city's unstoppable renaissance.
Spanning 1.5 million square feet, Hudson's brings together Class-A office suites housing corporate giants like JPMorgan Chase, destination retail including Alo and Tecovas, 56,000 square feet of conference facilities at The Department, and The Detroit EDITION—downtown's premier five-star hotel.

Danny Meyer & Pine Hall: Culinary Elevation
One of the project's biggest milestones is the debut of Pine Hall, an upscale tavern concept by acclaimed New York restaurateur Danny Meyer and his Union Square Hospitality Group (USHG). Situated on the 12th floor, Pine Hall pays homage to the historic Hudson's department store while offering seasonal Midwestern menus and expansive rooftop views of Campus Martius and the Detroit River.
At street level, the development breathes life into Nick Gilbert Way—a pedestrian plaza honoring the late son of Dan and Jennifer Gilbert—where local favorite Un Deux Trois serves French pastries and espresso to visitors year-round.
Official Project Vision
"Hudson's isn't just a building; it's a love letter to Detroit's legacy and a platform built for the next century of global innovation."
